- Monstera deliciosa “Golden Lion” の魅力について
最近、じわじわと注目を集めているモンステラの中でも、Monstera deliciosa “Golden Lion” は特に印象に残る存在だと思います。
この株の魅力は、一般的な黄斑系モンステラとは少し違う、奥行きのある色合いです。深いグリーン、ライムグリーン、ゴールドイエロー、さらにクリームカラーまで、一枚の葉の中に自然に混ざり合っていて、まるで色が溶け込むような雰囲気があります。
葉ごとに模様が異なるので、同じ表情の葉がほとんどないのも面白いところです。
個人的にGolden Lionの一番好きなところは、その“暖かさ”のある雰囲気です。ホワイト系の斑入りのようなシャープさというより、もっとトロピカルで柔らかい印象があります。

Electrolyte系やAurea系に少し似ていると言われることもありますが、Golden Lionには独特の色の重なり方や、自然に広がる斑の雰囲気があり、アート作品のような魅力があります。
そして mature form になり、葉が大きく割れて fenestration が入ってくると、その存在感はさらに増していきます。斑の美しさと葉のフォルムが合わさることで、より印象的な一株になっていきます。
Golden Lionは、ただ“珍しいモンステラ”というだけではなく、空間の雰囲気そのものを変えてくれるような、不思議な魅力を持った植物だと思います。

What makes this plant so special is its depth of color. Unlike typical yellow variegated Monsteras, Golden Lion often displays layers of deep green, lime green, golden yellow, and even soft cream tones all within a single leaf.
